Kronjyden A/S Randers Fajance and Stentøjsfabrik was a Danish ceramics company founded in 1937 in Randers. In 1957 Kronjyden initiated a stoneware production in cooperation with the designer Jens Harald Quistgaard (1919-2008) starting with the Flamestone and followed by the Relief series. They became very popular through the 60s and a successful business both for the export and domestic markets. In 1972, Bing & Grondahl took over the company and continued the production but the general interest in stoneware declined and in 1988 Kronjyden closed completely.
