The Rörstrand dinner set KOKA BLÅ, designed by Hertha Bengtson, was launched in 1956 and remained in production until 1988. The tableware, made of durable densely sintered feldspar, was beautiful enough for food to be served straight from the ovenproof dishes and casseroles. It was equally practical and swift to move the stew pots, terrines and kettles straight from the electrical hob to the table. Oven-to-table, as it was called in advertisements aimed at the foreign markets. The cobalt blue decor contains sticks, leaves or fish figures, depending on the part. The KOKA tableware was also produced in grayish green and brown decors, but they were not as successful as the blue decor that has become a bestseller.
