In 1951 Kaj Franck designed a tableware service that conformed to his own concepts and that would also be profitable for Arabia. Two years later, the KILTA service came on the market. The items were oven-proof, and could be used for cooking, serving and even storing food according to one's needs. The service was discontinued in the early 1970's due to the oil crisis, but reintroduced in 1981 under the name of TEEMA, with some minor adjustments.
