This dishwasher-safe tableware known by the name KAIRA, was designed by Anja Jaatinen-Winquist and in production between 1968 and 1972. It is made of stoneware and has hand painted decorations in brown and deep blue, and a black rim.

After completing her studies at the Central School of Applied Arts Helsinki in 1955, Anja Jaatinen-Winquist worked at Arabia as a product designer and ceramic artist for nearly twenty years. At Arabia she created mostly handmade decorative art ceramic objects for Arabia Studio, but she also designed few tableware patterns, such as 'Kaira' and 'Karelia', that became very popular especially in Finland.
